We are a non-denominational Fellowship
Our church is not governed by or obligated to any outside church hierarchy or leadership. We are an independent fellowship of believers. Our Pastor is called by God and recognized by the church family for the purpose of serving and directing the life and ministry of 24/7 Family Church alongside with and accountability to our board of directors.
24/7 Family Church
was formed out of a desire to simply be genuinely and authentically “Christian”- Nothing more, and certainly nothing less. Because of that, we choose to focus on that which is Biblical and essential to the faith. Our primary concern is not tradition or being popular, but what does the Bible say?
God
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, perfect in love and righteousness, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal in power and worthy of worship and obedience.Genesis 1:1,26,27; 3:22, Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; 1Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's eternal Son, the only mediator between God and human kind. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and fully shared and fulfilled our humanity in a life of perfect obedience to God. His death in our place revealed God's divine love and upheld God's divine justice, paying the penalty for our sins and removing our guilt. He rose from the grave the third day, victorious over death.Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14,15; 1Corinthians 15:3,4; Romans 1:3,4; Acts 1:9-11; 1Timothy 6:14,15; Titus 2:13.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians we seek to live under His control daily. 1 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13, 14:16,17; Acts 1:8, 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18.
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12, 14; Romans 12)
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide. (John 14:16-17, 16:8-11)
We believe also in the laying on of hands for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the ordination of pastors, elders, and deacons, and for the receiving of the perpetuity of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 6:6, 8:17; 1 Timothy 4:14)
The Church
We believe in one holy, Christian church, united in the bonds of love and endowed with the gifts of the Spirit. The church is called to serve Christ by preaching the gospel and making disciples of all nations, administering the sacraments, striving for social justice, and by relieving human distress and need.
The Family
We believe God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. We believe that God has given parents the responsibility to bring their children up in the nurture and discipline of the Lord and that the church must work to compliment the parent’s efforts and facilitate Godly living in the home.
Single parents are often challenged with the whole responsibility of raising a child. The church is called to support these parents to the greatest extent possible.
Marriage
We believe that marriage has been ordained by God. This church defines “marriage” as the exclusive covenantal union of one man and one woman in which such union is a lifetime commitment. A civil government’s sanction of a union will be recognized as a legitimate marriage by the church only to the extent that it is consistent with the definition of “marriage” found in these Articles.
*We understand that we are not perfect. Only God is perfect. Marriage, much like every part of our lives, is faulty. It takes faith and forgiveness to experience a Godly and fruitful marriage. God desires success in marriage; that man and wife remain together for a lifetime. In the case that this does not happen, there is grace and mercy; God gives us second chances. As a church, we will do everything we can to help our members succeed in their marriages; to overcome obstacles; to forgive and heal. In any case, we will always strive to offer biblical solutions, council and encouragement.
Please notice:
We believe in the creation and God as the Creator. We believe that God created man and that He created them male and female. As such He created them different so as to complement and complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason homosexuality, and all other “sexual preferences” or “orientations” are unnatural, sinful, and unacceptable to God (I Corinthians 6:9-11; I Timothy 1:9-11). Accordingly, this ministry will not perform any marriage ceremonies between two individuals of the same sex. It will not condone or recognize such same-sex marriages, civil unions, or domestic partnerships even if the state passes laws that provide for recognition of such unions.
People
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6a; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1,2
Salvation
We believe that because of sin, man is separated from God. Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and that all who believe in Him as Lord and Savior are born again and are justified on the grounds of His shed blood and resurrection from the dead. We look forward to Christ's return, when he shall raise the dead, judge the world, separate the righteous from the wicked, and establish his eternal kingdom.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the church: (a) full immersion water baptism, and (b) the Lord's Supper. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; Mark 1:9; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)
Baptism
Is an outward expression of an inward change that has occurred in life of the believer. It is identification with Christ by picturing His death, burial and resurrection.
The Lord’s Supper
Is a memorial service whereby we remember Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection and promised return. It is preceded by a time of self-examination and reflection. the bread and cup are symbols of His broken body and shed blood, which were given for our salvation.
The Bible
We believe the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the uniquely inspired written word of God, possessing God's authority in all matters of faith and life. They are to be interpreted according to their context and purpose, in reverent obedience to the Lord who speaks through them.
About Eternity
We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell and that all those who place their faith, hope and trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity in Heaven with the Lord, while those who reject Jesus’ free gift of salvation will spend eternity separated from the Lord in Hell. (Matthew 5:3, 25:31-34; Hebrews 12:23; 1 Peter 1:4; Psalm 9:17; Matthew 5:22; 18:9; Luke 12:5) John 3:16; John 14:17; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15; 1 Corinthians 2:7-9
About Jesus’ second coming
We believe in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ which is His personal, visible return to earth and the establishment of His millennial kingdom, in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and eternal blessing of the righteous and endless suffering of the wicked. (Matthew 16:27; Acts 1:11; Revelation 19:11-16, 20:11-15)
About the Rapture
We believe in the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the saints, the millennium, and the final judgment.
It is at this time, the last day, when He will stand in judgment over all the world unto their just and eternal punishment (Revelation 20:12). And He will reward His chosen people, fulfilling the promise of their eternal inheritance (1 Peter 1:4).
We believe that there will be a new heaven and a new earth.
Creation
We believe in the literal Genesis account of creation.
